If you do look for opportunities to make money at home, make sure you find something that is in a field that is not too cyclical. There are many self-employed automobile consultants and real estate consultants out there looking for work in other fields, you should find something that is economically stable, and not susceptible to big swings economically, so you can continue to make extra money. Or find two fields in which you can make extra money in different sectors, to insulate yourself from slow times in one or the other.
